Application

Step by step guide

When it comes to applying strip lashes, some individuals may find it a bit challenging. Here is a step-by-step guide to assist you in effortlessly putting on your strip lashes and staying fabulous for longer. Whether you're a beginner or a lash expert, these tips may prove helpful.

  1. When your lashes arrive, carefully remove your preferred pair from the packaging. There might be a thin layer of glue on the lash band to keep it attached to the tray. Use tweezers or gently pull the strip lashes from the outer corners, ensuring to cover most of the surface with your thumb/tweezers. This helps distribute the pulling force evenly along the entire band, preventing damage.

2. Peel off any remaining glue from the lash band using your fingers or tweezers. Use your fingers to gently curve the lash band inward, ensuring it aligns with the curve of your lash line. Bring the false lash close to your lash line, positioning it just above your natural lashes. This allows you to plan the application and determine the desired angle for your lashes. You may find that the lashes are slightly longer than your natural lash line. Trim the lashes to fit more comfortably by snipping away a few clusters from the outer end of the strip lash (never from the inner corner, as those lashes are usually shorter for a reason).

3. Double-check the placement to ensure the lashes align comfortably with the inner corner of your eyes. Apply a thin layer of lash glue of your choice along the lash band. Wait for the adhesive to become tacky, which usually takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes (depending on the adhesive brand). Applying the strip lashes while the glue is too wet will cause the band to slip, while if it's too dry, it won't hold. Finding the right "tacky" state takes practice. Once the glue is tacky, carefully apply the falsies, ensuring they attach to the skin at the base of your lash line rather than your natural lashes. It's crucial to avoid placing the weight of the strip lashes on your natural lashes.

4. Adjust the positioning of the lashes if necessary, using eyelash tweezers or your fingers to press them down gently. This secures the attachment. Once you're confident that your strip lashes are in place, give yourself a pat on the back because you did it!

Remember, practice makes perfect, so don't be discouraged if it takes a few tries to get the hang of it. Enjoy flaunting your beautiful lashes!
